Introduction Humanitarian Aid Symposium
The symposium "Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation at its Limits" is a special track of the Conference on Tropical Medicine and Global Health.
Building on the success of the annual Humanitarian Symposium Munich (HSM: www.cih.lmu.de/events/symp-series-humanitarian), running since 2016 at LMU Munich, the "Special Track Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation" is covering an outmost important issue in humanitarian work in Low- and Middle-Income Countries.
What are the limits of humanitarian aid, what can it do, what can it not do, what should it do, what should it not do, what are the current dilemmas?
The overaching topic of the "Special Track Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation" 2019 is "Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation at its Limits".
